Since April 1923, newspapers and books in German are again published in the USSR, German publishing houses are based.

One of the oldest German-language newspapers in Russia is "Zeitung für Dich". The first weekly issue was released on June 15, 1957 in Slavgorod, Altai Territory under the name "Rote Fahne". A unique archive of the newspaper was collected in the electronic library of the RusDeutsch portal.
